Will it preserve comments?

JSON has no concept of comments, so YAML comments are stripped when converting to JSON. Going JSON → YAML produces clean YAML with no comments.

What YAML features are supported?

Mappings, lists, scalars, quoted strings, numbers, booleans, and null. Complex anchors and tags are not parsed — for those, use a full YAML library like js-yaml.

Is it safe for secrets?

The tool runs in your browser, so secrets never leave your machine. Still, treat any tool you paste secrets into with caution and rotate keys you may have copied.
